Indigenous Knowledge and Community Development

We focus research on Indigenous knowledge and community-led innovation, strengthening Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, education, and resilience while supporting inclusive regional and rural development across Australia.

Our Programs

The Australian Industry Graduate Research School (AIGRS) offers PhD and Master’s by Research programs that are industry-integrated and impact-driven. From commencement, every candidate is placed on a live research project developed in partnership with industry, government, and academic collaborators.

Students are co-supervised by academic and professional experts, combining rigorous research training with practical workplace experience. This approach ensures graduates are job-ready, internationally connected, and prepared for leadership across industry, government, and academia.

Our programs are aligned with Australia’s national research priorities in health, agriculture, climate, technology, and Indigenous knowledge, while also creating opportunities for international collaboration through our global partner networks.
